Things you may need to know before you can complete your arrangements. Firstly, a Notice of Intended Marriage (available from me) must be lodged a calendar month before your marriage may be solemnized. When this is done, a birth certificate, a passport or citizenship document must by law be shown to me as proof of identity and age. If either the bride or bridegroom is divorced, or a widow or widower, evidence of the divorce or death must also be produced. You must also have two witnesses over the age of 18 years.

I can offer suggestions for a romantic garden, park, hinterland or beachside venue, and also help clients with varying cultural traditions and needs. I have a selection of ceremonies from which you can choose, or if you wish, I can help you prepare your own personal ceremony to include a family member or friend reading a favourite poem.
